Prof. Adriana Bruggeman, The Cyprus Institute

Prof. Adriana Bruggeman is Associate Professor in Hydrology and Water Management at the Energy Environment and Water Research Centre (EEWRC) of The Cyprus Institute. She is the Head of the Water Division, a dynamic, interdisciplinary group of natural resource management researchers. She has more than 20 years of experience in hydrology, agro-ecosystems and transdisciplinary natural resource management research. She has cooperated with research and development stakeholders throughout the Central and West Asia and North Africa region, while based at the International Centre for Agricultural Research (ICARDA) in Aleppo, Syria (1998-2009). She has (co-)authored more than 75 scientific publications, with over 2000 citations, and has an h-index of 21 (Web of Sci). She is associate editor of the journals Water (MDPI) and International Soil and Water Management Research. She has an MSc in Hydrology and Water Management from Wageningen University and a PhD in Biological Systems Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, USA.
